Yaesu FT-1907 Temperature problem




Well i own one now for over 3 months ,which serves as my echolink node SV1JRF-R. This rig as well as the Yaesu FT-1900 has a temperature problem!It rises really fast when there are extended tx times. Bellow there some pictures of my solution to the problem. Hopefully the rig will last through the summer...


80mm diameter 220Volt blower working 24/7

The fan is held by tire-ups from the metal plates

Two metal plates lift the rig higher so that the blower can fit underneath


I hope this "mod" will help you if you own the Yaesu FT-1900 or FT-1907

If you want to create a duplex repeater using the DVRPTR v1 ,you must construct a cable and also you will have to use two transceivers. The cable diagram is shown bellow. You will need 3x6pin mini din male connectors and 2m of ethernet cable cat 5. Of course from the cable you will only use 4 wires from 8.
