Raspberry Pi model B!!!






 In a few days i will have in my hands the Raspberry Pi model B! There are many things that we can do as amateur radio operators with this small computer!! The 2 things that i will try are:


1) APRS + WX Station
2) Echolink


The best about this small computer is that its cost is amazingly low (35 USD) 27 EUR. Also its current consumption is as little as when you charge your mobile phone!!! That means that we can have APRS + WX station data via internet working 24/7 with minimum current consumption cost!!

DVRPTR v1 - Repeater Interface Cable Schematic

If you want to create a duplex repeater using the DVRPTR v1 ,you must construct a cable and also you will have to use two transceivers. The cable diagram is shown bellow. You will need 3x6pin mini din male connectors and 2m of ethernet cable cat 5. Of course from the cable you will only use 4 wires from 8.
